Some times its not what you plan , but what you do with your time that matters

I had booked us an adventure, dream of my life time to go up in a hot air balloon to celiebrate our 18th wedding anniversary. I got to work at 6:30am frieday to ensure we'd get a jump on the traffic up to Tahoe. I had reservations at Harvey's, in South Lake and knew the gig for the HAB ride was that we had to get up at 4:30am to call to make sure we were "a go!" We got to Tahoe around 6pm, checked in and decided to dine at the Cabo Wabo at the hotel. We enjoyed some high fuel drinks to start the adventure. Enjoy their mexican fare and headed to the penny machines for a little gaming fun. All knowing we had an early day, the plan was call at 4:30, be wisked away at 5:30 to a boat, zoom out to the middle of the lake, launch in the HAB and a four hour adventure including Fallen Leaf Lake and sunrise. We threw away like 20 bucks on penny machines and were in bed by nine, warmed with "rita's!" I felt like that Disney commericial with the kids, "you sleeping? No, I'm too excited!" So I saw 1:30am 3:30 am...finally 4:30...Rich called the HAB shop and Harley confirmed it was still raining and windy at Heavenly and since we didn't want to end up in "OZ" it was a "no go." Turn over and lament about what didn't happen but we did sleep some more. 7:30 I got up, done with sleep, got showered, dressed and down to Starbucks for some java. Oh and then there was a Cinnabon, (damn that scent!)...so I bought one of those. We enjoyed coffee and Cinnabon in bed. Our spirits weren't to dampend...we headed down the hill at like 9am. Stopped in Cameron Park, Arrow Springs to buy some glass supplies and Costco again supplies. Once home, and after reading our Aunt Sue update on our pets...love her we went about our day...me in the studio, kiln running and Rich went to help Mark with jack hammering....all and all I'm fine it didn't work out, cuz Rich and I always find a way to have fun together, and isn't that what matters after 18 years married???

Props. out to Brenda, happy birthday sister!

That's exactly right, sis! You've been legal for 18 years and illegal for what 10 or 20 before (hee hee hee)???

Maybe you start picking the locations based on food/hotel and see what adventures just present on arrival! lol

Happy happy anniversary!!! 18 years and one night ago, we were stuffing ourselves at Red Lobster -- major partiers we girls....

LOB LOB LOB to both of you!
