Christmas can be many things

and today it means a visit with the Pyle family, killah Edda quiche, rescuing Mason's remote control from the neighbor's roof, Laurel's new bike, a tiny nap and Guitar Hero with Greg (Sean look out, he's a natural).

Fun Christmas and fun pre-gathering at the Pyle's yesterday where Rich did his first Sushi Cheffing for a gathering. There was seven adults and many kids running around and he amazed all of the adults with his "mad" skills, speed and creativity.

And we had a pre pre holiday gathering, where we got to meet Grand Nephew, Bradley. Great to see the nephews and all the fam! Merry Merry to you all!

quiet weekend

I'm still a wet blanket, with my mouf! It hurts and makes me grouchie! Rich just keeps suggesting sleep, think he's wanting peace and quiet! No he has done a fabulous job taking care of me. Our outing yesterday was to go to the movies. We saw, "I am Legend." Very good for a remake...but remind me of packed theaters next time I think I want to see a newly released debute...every seat was taken. We had the privileges of sitting the front row with 5 nine year olds. The movie created creepy tension and suspense. I liked it...but it wasn't Across the Universe!

Our holiday decorations took a more sugar turn since Rich had never decorated a gingerbread house before...I was a Girl Scout, so I had some experience. Enjoy!

If You Throw A Sushi Party And No One Comes ...Does Any Get Eaten?

Well I just HAD to have Sushi today...
My technique is down pat but I should have thought out the party plan a bit more.
With Kris having Gum Surgery( See Photo ) on Friday..I already had my best Sushi Eater on Injured Reserve and Mark is so damn busy on his house ( take a break for gods sake) and Greg was also off his game so that left me as the only one ready to chow. So I did,..... but there will be some more for Monday Night Football. The last one is sort of an inverted Donburi made from memory of the TARO'S JJ Special...the first item Kris ordered at our favorite restaurant.

chilly weekend

Rich has been fighting his computer (he hates HATES Vista) for a week where it is basically a doorstop...he's called our DSL vendor, bought new programs, reloaded his OS...ect ect...and come to find out, he thinks that it was my 'puter that was zombied and now after reloading everything on both computers things seem to be working. Fingers are crossed, cuz he's a bear when things don't go his way. Then there was the glass piece he's been working on for two weeks that I broke...check it out. I didn't break it per se but I made a wrong decision when adding more glass. But all in all it was a sucessful weekend, the house is clean and we will have the kiln rocking again next weekend. Today we went to Tower for breakfast, unfreakin believably delishous! Then a quick trip to the Farmers Market.

Oh muy gawd, English Beat are playing at Harlow's friday night, I'm so there...Rich had the gall to ask..."who's still in the band?" Who cares, I'm there.

Penny got her first bath this weekend and smells delish...off to Oakland tomorrow!
