projects long in the que

Rich is working through "R & D" on his Shade device and I got a killah idea from HGTV's
"That's Clever" for a glass idea. Everythings put away, for the night but we both had suecesses but are whupped. Kiln going....glass images later. Here's Rich's progress. I know that I should always trust his vision...

Hey Kris & Rich-

What is this shade thing? That new car looks hot! We just got connected back up with the internet recently. Then I had to find this new blog place you have. I was thinking of you guys as I am stiff this evening from tiling the shower floor. :) I can't wait to show you the final product with the beautiful glass tiles.

Yeah- I know betcha thought it would be done by now. Well.... things got rough when we decided we could not afford to pay Fernando to do the job anymore. And then Mom got malaria real bad and her and Dad had to return early from Ghana from their mission. It did not look good for a while and she is still not walking without assistance. It is a long story. But the moral is if your parents decide to go on a mission for a cult to attempt to convert a race of people the cult used to discriminate against... you should speak up loudly against this. Sigh... I am now an adict at a website called Recovery from Mormonism. I have to constantly remind my parents that they don't need to worry about my soul in the next life. And that it is ok for me to believe their church is a fraud, they do not have to conivince me otherwise, I will love them anyway.

So now were back living at our house. HOORAY! And hopefully will be done with the master bath shower within the next week or so. It might be interesting.

Bowen (who is now potty trained but still dropping trow before making it to the facility- yikes)is the victim of choice of Tommy Dog -a pure bred black lab. My dear friend, Sheri, died at the end of last year. She had been sick for a while and asked me to take Tommy Dog when she died. Her oldest son wanted to keep Tommy until recently- now that he is moving he called us and we picked up Tommy Sunday night. We already have our two lovable mutts. Rocky is a rot 'n lab and Molly is a black lab mix. Tommy has not quite made his peace with Rocky and has decided to take out his frustrations on Bo by humping him. This is terifying for our nearly 4 foot tall 3 year old. and we have been spending a lot of time interviening conflicts.

And Bryce is now- on I am guessing- his 10th job since turning 16. He does not find it hard to get jobs... but usually leaves on a reason of principal. Eventually he will learn to ignore that many people in power have brown noses and big poop holes. But for now mom is happy that he is staying in school and keeping employeed to support his going to school and transporation needs. His newest job is waiter at Red Robin in Citrus Heights. He is proud that they liked his personality enough to make him an 18 year old wait person. He says they usually make the kids his age act as host/hostess. He just finished a couple of weeks of training and I am waiting for him to get home to tell me how his first night as a full fledged waiter.

God... I just realized how much I wrote... maybe you were right, I need my own blogspot.

Take Care!

Jo
