Berkeley Kite Festival
Wonderful day in Berkeley!
We reluctantly headed down there this am, even though morning seemed to be the time to lie in bed and snooze...but we forced ourselves up, picked up Greg with plans of meeting up with Brenda. Well I love it when a plan comes together. Kites are magical and when you have them in mass, like we did today it wound up being a bit surreal. Tiny kites, the size of a baseball card all the way up to 10x10, with 30 foot tails...just unbelievable. My ebay purchased Cowkite was a hit...Bren even took it for a quick spin. The ocean air, happy smiling faces and kites~a perfect day. K

magic juice?
Margaritas!?!
Well I made it through my first week of New work...and new work lets out at 3pm on Fridays in the Summer. So Leas and I went to TOTAL BEAUTY EXPERIENCE after work~girl heaven. Then went to Crossroads and didn't have enough time to shop...so I had to go back. After a quick trip to Dimple (bought Toy Matinee, Bare Naked Ladies and Hay Seed Dixie) and a quick trip into Target....then Macy's and ultimate pis de resistance (sp?) Taro's for Sushi. I was a little crunchy by the time Rich got there....and he melted all my stress away with one simple margarita-magic juice, in my book. Then today, Saturday, we toyed with the idea of buying a different car...and all the emotions that go with that....nothing purchased yet. Off to the Berkely Kite Festival tomorrow! Cant wait! K

- Unpleasant physical effects following the heavy use of alcohol.
- A letdown, as after a period of excitement
Well it was a great weekend, at least what I remember of it. I celebrated my last day with First Health after almost 18 years. Friday night was fun with my coworkers at Chevy's on the River. Then Saturday was a debut of Rich's backyard with our neighbor friends. It was unbearably hot! But great company, wine and more wine and mooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee wine!

Revenge of Eppies...the oldest triathlon
This was a great weekend! We got up at 5am Saturday morning to fight for position for Rich's boat river-side for Eppies. After doing it Ironperson for EIGHT years...Rich's doing team relay, kayak portion was a piece o' cake. It was nice to see the event from the other side...last year we volunteered taking kayaks out but this year I kicked back. We literally dropped the boat off, went home, hottubbed and napped...then drove back get Rich ther in time to chill before he had to start his leg of the race. Rich did his race in less that 45 minutes, GREAT time! Their team placed 26th in the Open division.
My reward for "crewing" for Rich was a trip to Kohl's...is that pathetic (don't judge me:O)?
Then the reward for both of us was margarita's.
