day labor...

today we joined our friend Lisa at her boyfriends winery where we acted as day laborers. We harvested 2 tons of grapes (syrah and varietal). Its cool enough to fire up the kiln

The change in the season is great minus the allergies. I'm happy with my first firing on these pieces. Double Happieness and 'ode to Burning Man (aka throwing money away to be irratated)...enjoy your weekend.

Goal for this weekend...

Between hell allergies and lack of sleep, my goal is to catch up on my beauty sleep and chores. I swear the animals are the smart ones...

question, is this what these people do all year to prepare for the following Burn? ps. part of our decompression was taking in a movie and having some sushi. We saw Little Miss Sunshine (my nephew, Kris' recomendation) and absolutely loved it. Cried until I laughed and laughed outloud through happy tears-genius.

Well we are home early from Burning Man....too tired for long post but will share some of my fav shots. While the machine restarts let me just say....WTF? Hey I have a great idea, lets spend too much $$$s to camp in nuclear winter, with a bunch of exhibitionist tweats and play techno music all night and morning long ...NOT...we are watching the live webcast of the burn...but to tell ya the truth I don't care. Totally glad I went because we tried, we tried to understand the "bigger picture" or spiritual meaning only to find there isn't one! Rich and I high tailed it outta there and happily are enjoying home...more latter.
